Printer Troubleshooting

Unclear printing (faded, light, or streaky)?

  1. Low battery / density: Charge fully and increase Print Density in the FaithTag app.
  2. Dirty print head: Power off. Gently clean the print head with alcohol and a lint-free swab; dry before use.
  3. Old or non-thermal paper: Replace with fresh, compatible thermal paper; ensure the thermal side faces the print head.

Printing blanks or paper roll installation issues?

  1. Use thermal paper only.
  2. Install the roll per the Paper Installation Guide.
  3. Ensure the thermal side faces the print head (shine test: the thermal side is slightly smoother).

Unable to connect to Bluetooth?

  1. Install the FaithTag app and enable Bluetooth on your phone.
  2. Power on the printer and keep within 3 meters.
  3. Open the app → select your printer model → tap Connect via Bluetooth.
  4. Alternatively, double-press the power button to print a QR; in app, tap Scan QR Code to pair.
  5. If still failing: toggle phone Bluetooth off/on, forget old devices, then retry in the app.

Paper not detected?

Please follow these steps to fix paper detection:

  1. Turn on the printer without loading paper.
  2. Hold the power button for 10–20 seconds until the white indicator flashes, then release (sensor calibration).
  3. Reload the paper correctly and long-press the power button to restart.

Printing missing (intermittent or partial)?

  1. Paper jam or loose roll: Remove, tidy the edge, re-seat firmly, and close the cover.
  2. Transmission issues: Try printing from another phone or move closer to the printer to stabilize Bluetooth.

Charging abnormality?

  1. Confirm the outlet works. Use a 5V-2A cable and adapter.
  2. Check cable/adapter are fully seated.
  3. Printer light flashes while charging; it stops flashing when fully charged.

White light flashing?

Open the app and tap Print to view prompts:

  1. If you see No Paper, follow the Paper Installation Guide.
  2. If Low Battery, charge the printer and retry.
  3. If Overheating Warning, let the printer cool before using again.

Automatic shutdown?

  1. Charge the printer and check if an auto-sleep time is set in the app.
  2. In the app: tap the top-right corner → choose your printer model → Manage Devices to confirm auto-shutdown settings.

Printing Materials & Paper Care

Will thermal paper fade over time?

  1. Yes—exposure to sunlight or heat can cause fading. Store in a cool, dry, shaded place (journals/Bibles are ideal).
  2. For longer life:
    • Add color with markers/colored pencils—pigments protect the print.
    • Use FaithTag transparent sticker paper to shield prints when applied properly.
    • We use premium materials; with proper care, prints can look beautiful for decades.
  3. We print ink-free—no cartridges, less waste; a more eco-friendly way to keep God’s Word close to your heart.

Will the images distract people from the Bible itself?

  1. No. At FaithTag, the Bible is always the center—art simply helps you draw closer to God’s Word.

  3. Like a window frame is not the view, our artwork isn’t the focus—it helps you see beauty and truth beyond.
